This page explains how to request deletion of your RoadTrip account and all associated trip data, in compliance with Google Play and App Store requirements.
1. Delete From Inside the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly from within the RoadTrip app:
- Open the RoadTrip app and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm your identity by signing in again when prompted.
- Confirm the deletion.
Your account and all associated trip data will be deleted immediately.
2. Request Deletion by Email
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by email:
- Send an email to [email protected].
- Use the subject line: "RoadTrip Account Deletion Request".
- Include the Google account email address associated with your account.
Requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
3. What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your account profile (display name, email, user ID)
- All trips, routes, waypoints, and stops
- All travel itineraries and notes
- Your Firebase Authentication entry
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, your trip data cannot be recovered.
4. What May Be Retained
- Anonymized crash reports: Crash reports cannot be linked back to you and may be retained for diagnostic purposes.
- Legal records: Any information we are legally required to retain is kept for the required period.
